World class Surgery department of Dr.SIMC is well organized with all modern facilities. Various routine and emergency operations are conducted here. Moreover, laparoscopic surgeries like cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, partial gastrectomy with gastro-jejunestomy, hemicolectomy, haemorrhoidectomy (Longo) are also performed in the department. Standard ICU, CCU services with Critical care Specialist & 24 hrs emergency investigations including CT scan, MRI are also provided to render multi-disciplinary services for critically ill patients.
The teaching methodology involves lectures, tutorials, ward placement, block posting, seminars & case discussions etc.
